חוסר דיווח של הרשות הפלשתינאית לישראל הביא לזליגת מחלת הפה והטלפיים בבקר סמוך לגבול עם עזה. ישראל תעביר לרשות הפלשתינאית 30,000 מנות חיסון למחלה. המחלה אינה פוגעת בבני אדם. אין כל סכנה לבני אדם בשתיית חלב או אכילת בשר.

לפני אלפי שנים, עוד בימי מצריים העתיקה, התגלו סגולות טיפוח העור של החלב. למלכה האגדתית קליאופטרה ,נקשרו אגדות על יופייה המכשף, שהפיל ברשתה את הגברים החזקים ביותר בעת העתיקה, והידועים ביניהם היו כמובן יוליוס קיסר ומארק אנטוני- שנפלו שדודים לרגליה. נשארו עדויות לסודות היופי והטיפוח של קליאופטרה, כשהידוע ביניהם היה מנהגה הקבוע לטבול באמבטיית חלב ודבש
